The freight charge is calculated on the greater of the actual weight or the dimensional weight. The dimensional weight is calculated using the following formula:- Length x Width x Height (in cm) divided by 5,000, e.g. A parcel that weighs 10 kilos but measures 60cm x 30cm x 40cm would be charged at 15 kilos (60x30x40=72,000; 72,000 divided by 5,000 equals 14.4 kilos). Any items that may be subject to dimensional charges, will be noted in the product description.
Offshore Islands, Highlands, Northern Ireland and extended areas
Northern Ireland
Orders over £500 net of VAT will be charged the N.I. rate less the UK mainland rate.
We now ship some NI orders by Royal Mail/Parcel Force and charge on an individual basis. If we are able to negotiate a better rate than published above by using Royal Mail/Parcel Force, your carriage will be refunded accordingly. We are however, unable to send some orders by this service (heavy-weight or multiple boxes).
Scottish Highlands/Islands
Orders over £200 net of VAT will be charged the Highlands/Islands rate less the UK mainland rate.
We now ship some Highlands, Islands and extended area orders by Royal Mail/Parcel Force and charge on an individual basis. If we are able negotiate a better rate than our published rates by using Royal Mail/Parcel Force, your carriage will be refunded accordingly. We are however, unable to send some orders by this service (heavy weight or multiple boxes).
Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Scilly Isles are charged per individual consignment but we are also now using Royal Mail/Parcel Force for these areas also.
